Origami Pottery Workshop

Beautiful cups made with the origami technique

Beau was trained as an architect and a designer from the Cranbrook Academy of Art.

Her design work has been part of exhibitions and earned a permanent collection space at the Cranbrook Art Museum.

Her pottery is inspired by her background in design.

Prior to teaching at Get Centered Clay Studio, Beau was a product researcher for Target and taught design classes at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design before relocating to San Diego.

Learn how to make your own plate and cup using the origami technique. This workshop will focus on skills specific to working with "slap,” a hand-building technique. The class is 2.5 hours long with hands-on instruction. Class size is limited to 6 participants to ensure individual attention. Supplies and tools will be provided, and non-members may choose up to two pieces to be fired and to keep. Experience with clay is recommended but not required.
